Neonatal Bacterial Meningitis

Abstract
|
|
|
Bacterial meningitis is relatively uncommon in the neonatal period. Even after the introduction
and improvement of chemotherapeutic and antibiotic agents, there is still no significant decline -in mortality
and incidence of sequelae of neonatal meningitis.
Significance of early diagnosis and treatment of neonatal meningitis, especially antibiotic treatment is described with review of literatures.
